The exam will comprise 100 questions which will be divided in 3 sections namely, English language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted are 100 and the time duration is 60 minutes.
Based on my previous experience I would like to give you 5 important tips which will help your to qualify this examination.
5 Tips for IBPS PO Preliminary Examination 2017
Consolidate and Revise: In the last few days it is very important to consolidate and revise whatever you have studied so far. Have a glance at whatever you have studied in the last few months and prepare on areas which are weak. Also go through previous year’s questions and attempt practice sets in the last few days.
Plan order of your question paper: You should be clear about in which order you are going to attempt the question papers. If you are not clear you may end up wasting your precious time. Attempt your paper in an order which you have decided. Always skip difficult questions. After completing the questions which you know you should revert back and attempt the remaining questions which you left at the first go.
Time Management: You should be also clear on how much time you are going to give on each section. For example you can give 15 minutes for English, 20 minutes for math and 20-25 minutes for Reasoning. Remaining 5-10 minutes you should keep for attempting the questions which you could not do in the first go. Since you have to qualify in each section therefore proper time management and allocation of time is very important.
Be careful of Negative marking: Since negative marking is there hence you need to remain careful. Attempt only those questions on which you are sure. Do not make blind guess. However if you are 60-70% sure about any question you should go for that.
Last thing is that you should remain positive and happy during the exam days. You should also take proper rest. These things will keep you fresh and you will be able to perform well.
