How to Prepare for SSC MTS Exam and score high marks in?
You have 90 minutes with you and the number of questions is 100. Therefore in this test both speed as well as accuracy are important. Accuracy is crucial as there is a provision of negative marking and if the accuracy is not good you will lose marks despite having good speed. Therefore remember the terms speed and accuracy, your objective should be to have 90% accuracy which will help you to score high marks and you will stand high in the final merit list with this kind of accuracy.
So when you practice always note that how much time you have taken to solve the questions and what is your accuracy percentage. This kind of practice will help you not only for this exam but for all competitive exams. Timebound practice on a regular basis will improve your accuracy as well. To improve accuracy, the best method is that first your focus should be to learn the concepts. You should allocate your preparation time in such a manner that half time you focus on learning the concepts and remaining time in solving the practice paper. Once you solve any practice paper your focus should review it thoroughly. Check all the questions which you could not solve and understand the concepts of those questions clearly. Practice from previous years papers as well as similar time of questions or the same questions are repeated quite often.
How to Allocate Time for Each section
Four sections are General English, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness and there are 25 questions each. You should devote maximum 10 minutes on General Awareness and 20 minutes for English, try to solve these two sections with 90% accuracy. Remaining time you should give to General Intelligence and Reasoning and Numerical Aptitude and try to solve all the questions of these two sections with 100% accuracy, which is very much possible.
