SBI Clerk is one of the most popular banking exams of the country and lacs of students appear in this very popular exam. SBI has made slight changes in the exam pattern this year. As you know that earlier 100 questions were required to be completed in composite time of 60 minutes as far as preliminary exam is concerned. However this year SBI has set the sectional timings for each section. Now you need to complete each section in the specified time limit which is 20 minutes for each section.
After completeion of 20 minutes for any section you won’t be able to revert back to that section. Therefore this year this change may have an impact on cut off of the exam also.
SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam 2018 Expected Cut Off
Now let us discuss about cut off of this exam. In SBI clerk the cut off is announced state wise and each state is having different cut off. The cut off for the each state depends on number of factors such as number of students appearing in the exam, number of vacancies and difficulty level of the exam. Normally for state such as U.P., Bihar, Delhi cut off remains higher than other states as number of students appearing in these states as well the level of competition is quite high in these states.
Expected Cut Off and Changes in the latest exam pattern 2018
I am not going to tell you about state wise cut off as that is not possible. I will talk about the maximum cut off which all of you should aim, no matter in which state you are. Here by cut off I mean the score which is required for selection for mains and not talking about minimum cut off.
In my view any attempt of 65-70 questions with an accuracy of more than 90% will be good enough to get you through to the mains examination. It means an score of above 60 will be sufficient for the selection in mains. But this is my view based on the past trends. The cut off may go lower or higher than this. But you should try to score at least 60 marks or more to have fair chance for selection.
